Apartment + Balkon im Zentrum

Apartamento muy bien equipado y bien situado para visitar Berlín. Estuvimos muy bien atendidos por Hille y su colaborador Mr. Meyer. Lo recomendamos

Really great location in Mitte (just a few minutes walk to both Gendarmemarkt and Nikolaiviertel)

Cosy clean cheerful and functional.

Kitchenette is a little basic (no oven microwave etc) but this should not be a drawback if one intends to be dining out and exploring.

Other furnishings are a bit spare but this is also aesthetically in keeping with the "East Berlin" style of the architecture.

Hille was friendly and responsive and helpful--made it easy for us.

We would definitely consider returning!

Disappointing . NO MICROWAVE , NO WASHING MACHINE, NO IRONING BOARD. Admittedly, these items are not specified on the apartment contents, but common sense would tell anyone that these are basic essentials in a self catering apartment. We may as well have stayed at any of the hotels next door or across the road at probably less cost. At least they would have a laundry service.
However, location is very good with excellent access to public transport. The apartment itself is a good size though and comfortable for two.

I promised to go to Berlin with my daughters(aged 15/11 at the time) and we choose to use an apartment instead of a hotel. The reason is simple: freedom because an apartment allows us to come and go as we please, to cook our own food(important as we are vegetarian) or order food or go out to a restaurant if we feel like it. Wimdu offered this freedom.
We selected the apartment of Hille Mey because it had good reviews, was reasonably priced, located near the center of Berlin, and, important to my daughters, it had wifi:P.
The apartment is great as a place to explore Berlin. It is located at the Leipziger Strasse en near the underground station called Spittelmarkt which connects you with a few hops to Alexander Platz. Alexander Platz is like a main underground hub in Berlin.
The apartment itself is neat and consits of two main rooms and one bath room which includes a bath. It is well kept, neat and functional. There are two shopping malls nearby, about five to ten minutes away. Also checkpoint charlie is about 15 minutes away on foot.
Now the gripes.
There are some things that could be improved. For one, while the apartment allows for three people, the couch in the main room acts also as the spare bed. In other words.. if you use the spare bed for sleeping, there is no couch and you have only the dinner table seats to sit upon. In other words: the one useing the spare bed is subjected to the others.
In addition I felt the lack of a microwave/oven combination. I would advise to have one as it certainly helps in cooking and in cleaning.
This is a neat appartment to explore Berlin from, but do not expect it to be anything else. It is functional, well priced for what you get, but not a romantic place with a great view. :P

Wir waren mit 3 Personen in Berlin und haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Kontaktaufnahme war sehr unkompliziert und angenehm. Die Wohnung ist zentral gelegen und mit der U-Bahn gut zu erreichen. Wir haben tolle Urlaubstage in Berlin verbracht und können die Wohnung unbedingt weiterempfehlen.

Vi havde en rigtig god ferie. Super lejlighed
